Writing Her Own Script
April is a Dallas native whose story swept her to Emory University in Atlanta where she earned her BA in English/Creative Writing & Sociology (Summa Cum Laude). The next stop in her story was Hollins University in Virginia, where she earned an MFA in Creative Writing. Rather than follow the traditional path into higher education, April stepped into the role of Project Manager for AT&T, eventually becoming a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and Senior Project Manager. During this time, April also served as a Professor at Oklahoma City Community College for 7 years teaching a myriad of classes in the humanities. Through her coaching, April’s passion for writing is paired with practical experience to cultivate storytellers.
